Pine

The Pine tree makes up for 1/4th of all forests in Germany and is therefore the 2nd most frequent tree species, after the Spruce tree, with the Pinus Sylvestris being the most common in the family of pine trees. This “modest” living tree can grow fast and is popular among sylviculturists. It’s widely used for reforestations.

Mostly used for the production of furniture and interior design, the pine is a beautiful material with its straight grain and its yellowish colors. It is also used for deckings, bridges, cladding and so forth.

The Pine tree is especially popular in Asian temples and gardens due to its symbolic meanings such as endurance, resilience and calmness.
